"When we decided to open Village Hideaway we
chose to include guests with pets. We have an eight
year old lab/retriever X named Misty who is a
regular companion of ours in many things we do,
including traveling. In our travels we discovered
that the majority of vacation rentals (cottages/cabins/suites)
available to folks traveling with dogs were often
unkempt and below the standards that we choose to
keep. In creating Village Hideaway as a vacation
rental we wanted to offer a place for responsible
pet owners that was lovely, clean and relaxing both
for pets and their owners. It has proven to be a
great space and home away from home for several
long-term guests who are on extended holiday, work
stint, real estate hunting, visiting family or
waiting for their house construction to complete.
Equally, it has been a perfect short-term getaway
for dog lovers and their pets. Our large fenced
backyard offers our guests and their pets a place to
relax and play. The many walking, biking or hiking
trails, just minutes away are also a perfect
opportunity for those who like to enjoy the outdoors
with their pets.
We believe we have created a space with Village
